Week of Oct. 8

Hey everyone, we had a great kickoff to the month of October last week when we began our exploration for the year of Making Our Faith Our Own.  We're starting by discussing how we know who God is - from how God is revealed in the Bible to the perceptions of God out there in pop culture, from prayer to being a part of a group of people trying to follow God, from trying to hear God speak to us today to seeing God in the world around us, and more.

We'll continue this week especially talking in smaller groups about experiences we've had trying to communicate with God and sharing ideas about how that communication can feel more and more accessible.

Also, DON'T FORGET, we have our FIRST GNO OF THE FALL THIS COMING SATURDAY NIGHT, OCTOBER 10th.  We'll meet at the church at 5:30, the girls and guys will split up and go to some church members' houses for dinner as we get to know more folks at CLF, and then the guys will be going to Eisenhower Park for some games (FEATURING TENNIS BALL GOLF) and the girls will have some exciting time with Amy.
