Hey everyone, we had a great beginning to more High School and Junior High joint activities and kick off to our summer together last week with some reunion dinners with the Willey's and Wetzler's, and a rousing game of Bigger and Better. (We started this trading game with 2 pennies and came back with a power drill, 2 printers, a rug, 3 patio chairs, a foosball table, and more!)
This Thursday Night will be a bit more chilled out. Arrive at the church at the normal 7 PM start time, and we'll either have a night of some of our more normal activities or a movie and discussion night - depending on what I'm able to find and whether or not I have a baby arrive in the next few days!
However, even though Thursday Night will be laid back, that doesn't mean this week is without its own exciting premiers!
This Wednesday meet at the church between 1-1:30 pm, and then we'll carpool up to Fullerton at 1:30 to help run some summer camp activities for elementary schoolers in a depressed neighborhood from 2-4! This is the Solidarity summer partnership we've talked about some so far this summer. This week we'll be doing some soccer and cooking activities and you can help out with either. Should be a lot of fun and a great way to practice bringing God's Kingdom to the communities around us!
