July 9th - Potluck Picnic at Eisenhower Park!

Hey everyone, thanks to all of you for helping pull off a great week last week with games and a lesson. I was sorry to have missed you, but it was exciting to welcome Aislynn to the world, and she'll look forward to meeting all of you in coming weeks.

So this week, we'll have another chance to get out of the walls of the church and into the community - and bring some folks along with us! We'll be meeting at the church and then carpooling out to Eisenhower Park for a picnic and games. There are a few special details to make sure you take note of:

1. This picnic is for you, your friends, your siblings, and your parents. Invite whoever can come, we're trying to extend inclusion in our community. If your parents are planning on coming, see if they are willing to help us drive.

2. This picnic is a potluck. I don't think we'll have time to cook out like we have before, so if everyone can make a single main or side dish to bring with them, we should have a slightly less work intensive meal for everyone and get to focus on hanging out and playing the games.

3. There will be a sort of scavenger hunt at Target on the way to the park. We will split up into groups and each group will have a $10 budget to buy random things at the store that they can use in a game for everyone they make up the rules to - so come excited, energetic, creative, and ready for activity and potentially messiness.

4. MEET AT THE CHURCH AT 6 PM, not 7. In order to have time for all the fun, we'll need to get an earlier start. Remember, we'll be at Eisenhower Park, so if you can't make it earlier, or arrive a little late by accident, meet us over there. We'll have permission slips for transportation waiting for you at church on Thursday as well.
